09:00 - please aim to arrive at least 15 minutes beforehand as we depart promptly from our pick up point in order to maximise your time at the wineries.
All our public tours depart from North Greenwich Underground Station (the O2), on the Jubilee Line. Your guide will meet you outside the main entrance.
If you would prefer to catch a train to the region - Kent, Sussex or Surrey depending on the tour - we can also pick you up from the following stations:
Ashford International for Kent tours
Haywards Heath for Sussex tours
Guildford for Surrey tours
Afraid not - if we did this for all our guests we’d spend half the day in London traffic!
Please don’t do this! We will email you with your guide’s name and phone number - if for any reason you are running late please get in contact and we will try our best to get you on board. This, however, cannot be guaranteed and we are not able to offer refunds for late arrivals.
You may cancel your reservation up to one week before departure and receive a full refund. We do not currently offer refunds for reservations cancelled within one week of departure, but you can always transfer your booking to a friend or rearrange it for an alternative date.
You will receive a confirmation email upon booking your tour. We will also send a reminder email 24 hours before your trip. You will need to bring your booking confirmation with you - an electronic copy on your phone or device is perfect.
There is no set schedule of wineries. Our guides like to customise their tours to take advantage of the best winery experiences available on that day, and take a great deal of pride in the winery itineraries they put together. With so many wonderful wineries in this area, there is no reason to put on an identikit wine tour.
Rest assured, you’ll come away with a great English wine experience!
No set time. Some winery experiences take longer than others. The average is about an hour at each winery. We’ll spend a little longer at whichever of the wineries we stop at for our picnic lunch.
Nope - these are all included in your tour price. #winning
Whilst we don’t offer overnight stays as part of our tours, if you’ve fallen in love with wine country and don’t ever want to leave we know lots of wonderful hotels and family-run B&Bs in the area. Happens to the best of us.
Please give us a heads-up before the tour and we’ll help you out.
The best of English - without the fish & chips. We’ll be picnicking at one of the wineries we visit. Lunch consists of charcuterie, a selection of cheeses, fresh bread, olives, dips, fresh salad, fruit and chocolate. All locally-sourced, all English, and all delicious.
Yes! Please give us advance notice and we’ll take care of you. We are rather good at accommodating a variety of dietary needs, particularly dairy and gluten restrictions.
Yes. Chilled, bottled water is served on the bus and also with the picnic lunch.
Ah yes, El vino divino. Whilst we don't provide wine, if you purchase a bottle of wine at the winery we stop at for lunch, they will open it for you and provide you with glasses.
The best kind! You’ll be sharing your day out exploring wine country with easy-going, sociable fellow wine lovers. They tend to become even more friendly and shed their British sangfroid once they’ve started tasting.
No way! We actively discourage wine bores - our people are interested in and love their wine, even if they don’t know everything about it.
Our vehicles are 9-seaters and have conference seating, like a conversation pit, so guests can really get to know each other. We find this helps once the wine starts to flow.
For our larger vehicles these are standard minibus layout, but still just as deluxe.
One person.
It varies. Our tours this year are likely to have between 4-12 people, but may sometimes have more.
Adults only I’m afraid. Your kids would be confused by a group of tipsy adults singing Chaka Khan’s ‘Ain’t Nobody’ when they really don’t know the words. (no one really knows the words…) Seriously, sometimes we can accommodate children, but usually not. Please give us a call if this is an issue for you.
Guide dogs are welcome on the tour. We can’t allow other dogs as some of our guests are allergic to animals and because many of the wineries have dogs that are sometimes unfriendly to other animals.
Erm, no.
Yes! We have plenty of room. By all means, buy as much wine as you like.
No never! We never cancel a tour for that reason. If you’re booked on then the tour’s happening.
You know it! It’s wine. It’s adventure. It’s going to give you an amazing insight into the incredible world of English wine. You’re going to love it.
You can make your way to the regular departure point for our tours - North Greenwich Underground Station (the O2), on the Jubilee Line. Alternatively, we are very happy to pick you up from a starting point of your choice. Please get in touch and let us know what would best suit you.
We can take groups of up to 22 people. The cost will vary according to group size - essentially, the more bums on seats the more economical the tour. If you want to book for a smaller group our 9-seater winemobile is just the job.
For private tours we are happy to take you to the wineries of your choice, as long as those wineries permit us to visit that day and as long as we can get there and back in a day (I’m afraid Cornwall is out of the question. Sorry, all you Camel Valley fans). Please let us know in advance where you’d like to visit and we’ll get on it!
